Inside Russell Brand’s twisted lair the place disgraced star dedicated sick acts
Comedian Russell Brand used his London home to commit a horrific anal rape on one of his victims, with pictures of the Hampstead ‘lair’ being released during the trial
Jurors in Russell Brand’s rape were shown pictures of the disgraced star’s London townhouse where he committed one of his twisted crimes and even told a victim: “Clean up you mess.”
The comedian, 51, raped a 21-year-old fan at his £2.3 million house Hampstead at the height of his showbiz heyday. She told the court how she willingly had a threesome with the comedian in 2009 after one of his shows at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Overawed by Brand’s fame, the victim – who was in a relationship at the time – agreed to go to the star’s house a few days later for sex.
But she said the encounter started with Brand unnervingly forcing her to strip, shower, and brush her teeth before they went to bed together.
She told jurors they had “awkward” consensual sex, but Brand then raped her by forcing her into non-consensual anal sex and ignored her cries of pain.
The photos show dark decorations, including a black velvet bed and marbled bathroom. The court heard he made his victim take a shower and wash her hair while he watched through a glass shower cubicle.
Once in the bedroom, the woman said they had consensual sex after he told her: “This is the best decision you’ve ever made, well done”.
She told the court Brand then raped her and looked “absolutely f***ing horrified” – making her think he would apologise.
But the woman added: “But actually what he said was ‘you need to clear up the mess that you’ve made’.”
A black framed full-length mirror and a framed crucifix can be seen hanging over the “enormous” bed in his bedroom in photos released by police.
His living room also has a black and grey feature wall, a large black sofa and a guitar in the corner, the pictures show.
The feature wall has a decorative stag on it. The room also features an array of sofas.
Jurors were also shown pictures that Brand allegedly made one of the women take moments before he raped her. Those images show the comedian topless in a pair of white trousers blowing a kiss to the camera.
Brand was tonight being held on remand as he awaits sentencing after being convicted of rape and sexual assault. A judge refused an application of bail so he could say goodbye to his children.
He will be sentenced next week.
