A 24-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Slough earlier this week has been named and pictured by police.

Mohammed Rafaqit Kayani was stabbed in the chest at Keel Drive, Berkshire, around lunchtime on Tuesday, August 30.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but he could not be saved. Specially trained officers are supporting his family.

After he was stabbed, Mr Kayani was taken to hospital with serious injuries but he could not be saved. A post-mortem examination concluded the cause of his death as a stab wound to the chest 

Two men have been charged in relation to the murder following an investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit.

Hassan Al-Kubanji, 21, from London, was charged with one count each of murder, perverting the course of justice and possession of a blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He was also charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin.

He was remanded to appear in Reading Magistrates Court today.

Miguel Parian John, 41, from Slough, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin, and one count each of assisting an offender.

He was also charged with possession of a blade/sharp pointed article in a public place yesterday.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he was further remanded to appear at Reading Crown Court on 3 October.

A third man, aged 21, of no fixed abode, arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, remains in police custody.   

A Sadqah Jariyah, which means a continuous flow of charity, has been set up on GoFundMe in memory of the Mr Kayani – so far it has raiser over £6,000.

The fundraiser said: ‘On Tuesday 30th August our beloved Rafaqit Kayani returned to his Lord. May Allah expand his grave and grant him abundance in the hereafter.

‘In light of this our family have set up this Sadqah Jariyah in memory of Rafaqit Kayani in order to elevate his deeds. 

‘The money raised will go towards a community mosque that will act as Sadqah Jariya (ceaseless charity) so that he can continuously receive rewards.’

A Sadqah Jariyah has been set up on GoFundMe in memory of the Mr Kayani – so far it has raiser over £6,000.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Dejan Avramovic, of the Major Crime Unit, said: ‘Our thoughts remain with Rafaqit’s family at what must be an extremely difficult time for them and I would ask for their privacy to be respected.

‘I would like to thank the public and local community for their significant help and patience during the investigation so far.

‘I would still like to hear from anyone who may have information about this tragic incident and is yet to come forward.’
