Beer guzzling tennis babe who went viral for downing cup sinks another at US Open

A sports fan at the US Open has gone viral for her beer-drinking skills once more.

The Instagram babe had risen to fame at the US Open last year – and now she was back again, chugging a pint much to the delight of those at home and online.

Indeed, she was back at it again, with the cameras zooming in on her necking a drink with fans around applauding and cheering.

The drinker – Megan Lucky – stood up and was able to finish the pint of beer in just 7.37 seconds. On the US Open Tennis account, the caption read: “It seems this is becoming tradition at this point.”

And some fans loved the antics, with one saying: “She’s back, this woman is awesome!!!” Another said: “I can hear George McFly in the background explaining: “See if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.”

However, some others were not so impressed, with one saying: “Why are we ‘proud’ or impressed by someone chugging a warm beer in a plastic cup? This is called binge drinking and it occurs on almost every college campus. It’s not healthy, it’s not impressive, and it’s certainly not role model material for young sports enthusiasts.”

Another killjoy spat: “Are you promoting binge drinking?”

Since going viral again Lucky now has some 36,500 followers, with many enjoying uploads of her escapades and saucy snaps.

Excitement elsewhere in the US Open came as loveable rogue Nick Kyrgios ended Daniil Medvedev’s defence of the title after winning four-set in New York to put himself into the last eight, with a a 7-6 (13-11) 3-6 6-3 6-2 victory.

Kyrgios said after the contest: “It was an amazing match. Daniil is the defending champion and a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but I’ve been playing great recently.

“People were really starting to doubt my ability to pull out matches like this at majors. I’m really proud of myself because it hasn’t been easy dealing with all the criticism.”
