Rams announce extensions Sean McVay & Les Snead ahead as LA open NFL season as underdogs vs. Bills
The Los Angeles Rams announced contract extensions for both head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead on Thursday, just hours before taking on Buffalo in the NFL Kickoff.
The extensions will ensure the pair remain with the Rams through the 2026 season.
Financial terms were not released by the team, but both McVay and Snead are reportedly among the highest-paid in their respective roles.

‘As an organization we constantly strive to better ourselves every day. This requires selflessness, dedication and great leadership throughout,’ Rams owner, Stan Kroenke said in a press release, Thursday.
‘Sean and Les personify this mindset. They have been crucial to many of our successes that transcend wins and losses.
‘They epitomize the ‘We not me’ mantra that permeates the entire organization. Their extensions are well deserved.’

Former Ram and two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller will be a familiar face for McVay, Snead and the Rams when he makes his Buffalo bow following his free-agent signing from LA.
McVay revealed last month that he had already signed his extension, but the club was waiting to announce until both his and Snead’s respective deals were done.
The Rams’ head coach enters his sixth season with the team, holding a 55-26 record, including two Super Bowl appearances.
He became the youngest head coach to win a Super Bowl, aged 36, and the youngest to appear in a Super Bowl, aged 31, as the Rams fell to the Patriots in 2018.

Snead has been the general manager of the LA franchise since 2012 and holds an 86-74-1 record.
His draft haul includes the likes of seven-time All-Pro, Aaron Donald and Super Bowl MVP, Cooper Kupp.
Snead has also acquired several stars via trade and free agency including Miller, Matthew Stafford, Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham and most recently, Allen Robinson.
Since teaming up in 2017, McVay and Snead have amassed four NFC West titles, two NFC Championships and a Super Bowl ring.
