Arsenal fans convinced they have the ‘new Bukayo Saka’ after unknown star’s wonder goal
Arsenal supporters are convinced they have the ‘new’ Bukayo Saka in their ranks after Amario Cozier-Duberry scored a wonder-goal at under-21s level.
The 17-year-old Gunners attacker scored the opening goal in the side’s 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on September 3 – leaving spectators stunned at the ability on show.
Picking the ball up with his back to goal, the youngster managed to turn inside and breeze past his first man. Bearing down on goal, he cut outside, evading the tackle of a Rovers player, before slotting the home into the bottom corner from just outside the box.

Someone wrote: “Cozier-Duberry deserves a chance. He’s undoubtedly one of the best players in the academy and has done well this season. Sousa is an excellent prospect but still don’t think he’s registered to play.”
A last one said: “Cozier-Duberry can play on either wing or in midfield. Could also play at left-back so his versatility is useful. Very direct and skilful.”
In June, Cozier-Duberry signed his first professional deal with the club. The midfielder joined the youth setup in September 2019 and shone in the youth side, leading to the contract.
He made 20 appearances for our U18s side last season – where he scored four goals and provided as many assists in a stellar campaign.
Speaking about signing his new deal, he wrote: “This is a very proud moment for me. It’s a great achievement and I’m really grateful for this opportunity.
“My ambition is to break into the under-23’s squad more and hopefully get my chance with the first team too.”
