Weirdo used wife’s Facebook to beg woman selling watch to make sex tape with him

A married man begged a woman selling her watch online to make a sex tape with him in a “frightening” ordeal.

Aaron Maguire, 52, pretended to be his wife by using her Facebook account and agreed to buy the accessory after speaking to the seller on the social media platform.

However, the seller was left shocked after Maguire turned up at her home in Southampton instead.

Prosecuting, Ed Warren said Maguire stepped inside the house and started to comment on the woman’s nails and physical appearance.

The perv was then rejected after he asked her for a kiss, the court heard.

Despite the woman saying no, Maguire went on to tell the woman he would like to look at her body.

He continued and said he would purchase the watch if she let him perform a sex act on her, reports Daily Echo.

Maguire went as far as to offer her £130 for the item and said she could “make up the rest” if they participated in an adult film together.

During the scary encounter, Maguire is said to have touched the victim’s arm before declaring that he would come back the following day to collect the watch.

But the woman immediately contacted the police after he left. Maguire was subsequently arrested.

Southampton Crown Court heard how Maguire told officers that his behaviour was used to “comfort” [the woman] and not for sexual gratification.

Mr Warren said that the man sent her £10 after his visit on December 2, 2020, because he felt he had “wasted her time”.

On Monday (August 15), Maguire, of Bursledon, was charged with sexual assault at Southampton Crown Court.

Mitigating, Chris Gaiger said: “He accepts full responsibility for his actions and regrets the harm he has caused.”

He believes there is a “realistic prospect of rehabilitation”.

Judge Christopher Parker QC described the encounter as a “frightening experience for a young woman who didn’t have any support on the scene”.

“You had visited the complainant on purpose having seen her picture on your wife’s account. That by itself was predatory behaviour,” he added.

The judge said an immediate custodial sentence was the only option due to the severity of the offence.

Maguire was put behind bars for 12 months and was issued an indefinite restraining order.
