A 10-year old boy has been rushed to hospital after suffering ‘a number’ of lacerations to his arms and head in a vicious dog attack.
Police and paramedics arrived on scene in Bellamack, Northern Territory shortly after 5pm on Monday afternoon where the boy was treated for multiple cuts.
St John NT operations manager Craig Garraway said the attack was a ‘nasty one’, reported the NT News.
It is understood investigations are ongoing, in the latest of a spate of dog attacks in the region.

In April, a 21-month old baby was mauled by a rottweiler at a Darwin cafe.
A local mum was sitting at a local cafe when the dog launched itself at the child biting his right arm, causing her to call for tighter dog control laws.
‘Simple measures like requesting owners have a muzzle on their dogs and seat them in a designated dog area when at a cafe, are a minor inconvenience that would significantly reduce the risk of a serious attack,’ Ms Mounsey said.
‘When something like this happens it is a lose-lose situation. My child has been seriously injured and a much-loved family pet is going to be put down due to one mistake.’
In April this year a 60-year-old woman at Palmerston, 20km south of Darwin, had one of her arms amputated after she was mauled by a dog in a horrific attack.
