Yingst reported that they heard a gunshot and witnessed individuals shouting at others to evacuate the vicinity. Consequently, Yingst and his team swiftly started running away from the scene.
His group crouched on the floor, while other journalists could be seen sheltering by a wall.
Israeli troops quickly moved towards the source of the gunshot, originating from the eucalyptus forest located at the outskirts of the campsite.
Yingst instructed everyone to lie down completely flat while others fled.
Yingst further stated that the situation is highly tense at the moment, with two gunshots being fired and an individual now being restrained on the ground.

Yingst mentioned that a high-ranking officer informed him that the man who was detained was either a Palestinian militant who had entered Israel from Gaza or someone who had stayed in the area after the attack on Saturday.

Israel’s government presented graphic images of children and civilians who were allegedly killed by Hamas during a recent outbreak of violence in Israel to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and NATO defense ministers, in an effort to garner support for their response.
Blinken described witnessing a baby with multiple bullet wounds, soldiers who had been decapitated, and young individuals who were burned inside their vehicles.
