Jude Bellingham shoves Phil Foden after wild tackle in awkward clash before England camp

Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden got into a heated exchange which will make for an awkward upcoming international break.

The youngsters are set to be linking up with the England camp next week but were facing off in the Champions League last night (September 14) as Manchester City played host to Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham gave the German visitors the lead in the second half with a flicked header but it was ultimately meaningless as goals from John Stones and Erling Haaland in the last 10 minutes gave Pep Guardiola’s men a 2-1 victory.

With the game slipping away from his side, the Dortmund midfielder grew frustrated after a rogue tackle and shoved his fellow countryman Foden. Fans reacted online, with one tweeting: “Foden & Bellingham gonna be awkward in the England camp.”

A second said: “This Bellingham and Foden fight god bless England are not making it past the group stage.” Another posted: “BELLINGHAM AND FODEN FIGHTING????????? BROTHERS WE ARE TRYING TO WIN A WORLD CUP.”

Bellingham took issue with Foden during Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund

“Bellingham fighting Foden like they wont be playing together next week,” commented a third. A fourth added: “Why is Bellingham kicking off with all the English City players. Grealish first half now Foden. Take the L lad.”

But another fan argued: “Media be all over Bellingham then with Foden, love that me. Just because he’s England team-mate don’t mean got to be mates on the pitch.”

The pair had to be separated as they had some argy-bargy

Gareth Southgate is set to announce his England squad later today (September 15) with Bellingham and Foden almost guaranteed to be included for the final international break before the World Cup later this year.

The Three Lions will be facing Italy in Milan and Germany at Wembley in their remaining Nations League fixtures, having picked up just two points from their first four fixtures in Group 3 of League A and subsequently sitting rock bottom.
