Man Utd prepared to make Casemiro their joint-highest earner alongside Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United are prepared to put Real Madrid ace Casemiro on the same wages as Cristiano Ronaldo to help solve their midfield crisis.
Erik ten Hag is believed to have identified the central midfield area as a key area to address when he initially took up the reins at Old Trafford. However, their pursuit has so far been fruitless, despite the fact they have chased priority target Frenkie de Jong for the best part of 100 days.
The purported interest in Casemiro suggests the Red Devils are conceding defeat when it comes to the Barcelona midfielder, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea. However, Casemiro’s status as being somewhat of a marquee signing for the club, means they will have to put up or shut up if they are going to get the deal over the line. And this could be in the form of a weekly salary of around £360,000 per week.
