Mum fuming as homework query for five-year-old cannot be solved by adults
Are you smarter than a five-year-old?
You’d blooming effectively hope so, however you may query it for those who give this homework a go. The query, designed for nursery youngsters, has been baffling adults.
And Royce Winnick, a mum from New York within the US, was completely stumped when she checked what her infant was engaged on.

The first half was easy sufficient – it simply asks the children to hint the letter T to observe their writing expertise.
But then, it supplies 4 totally different photos and tells the kids: “Tap out the word in the picture and write the sounds you hear”.
Three of the pictures are fairly simple to work out. One is a shower, so the kindergartener wrote “tub” subsequent to it.
The second and third solutions are “ten” and “prime” – however the fourth query have been positively not as simple to determine.
Slightly sketch confirmed a rabbit in a pen, together with 4 little bunnies taking part in collectively. But when the kid urged “pet” as their reply, the trainer mentioned it was incorrect.
Fellow mother and father messaged Royce to supply their options to the issue. Their recommendation included “thumper” and “twins” – with one jokester even suggesting “twabbit”.
All of those are incorrect although, apparently. The trainer later confirmed the phrase they have been in search of is “vet”, which nonetheless does not sound correct!
After the pesky downside went viral again in 2017, Royce revealed she’d spoken to the trainer about the issue.
She advised HuffPost: “The real answer was ‘vet’ which makes no sense! But she did have another sheet similar that also had ridiculous answers.”
The second sheet was similar, but this time it asked the children to use the letter K. Bizarre answers included “kin” and “Ken”, which don’t immediately spring to mind when looking at the drawings.
Royce added: “Again, how is a five-year-old supposed to know that?” We should agree!
