ITV has denounced Joey Barton’s feedback as ‘shameful’ and ‘contemptible’ after he in contrast pundits Eni Aluko and Lucy Ward to serial killers Fred and Rose West.
Barton sparked fury on Friday morning after evaluating Aluko and Lucy Ward, an ex-footballer turned commentator, to the Wests and questioning their legitimacy as pundits.

He later posted additional abuse aimed toward Aluko, observing a clip of her taking photographs in coaching.

‘F***ing pathetic. Get them off the Men’s Football. Off the tele. Only there to tick packing containers. DEI is a load of s**t. Affirmative motion.
‘All off the again of the BLM/George Floyd nonsense. Cancel me, I’d do not care anymore.’
Barton’s preliminary tweet instantly prompted a string of offended replies, with one consumer asking whether or not it was doable for him to ‘sink any decrease’. A second wrote: ‘Comparing a soccer commentator with serial killers to attain factors. That’s an evil factor to do.’
