Police investigating armed rampage cost man, 49, over 5 offences

A person, 49, has been charged with a string of offences referring to Wednesday’s incident which resulted in a Liverpool cinema being locked down.

Leslie Garrett, of Liverpool, was charged with possession of a firearm to hazard life, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to trigger concern of violence, tried theft, and possession of ammunition with no certificates.

All however the tried theft prices are beneath the Firearms Act 1968 and all relate to Wednesday’s string of shootings.

He will seem earlier than Liverpool Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

Senior Crown Prosecutor Paul Shepherd of CPS Mersey Cheshire, stated: ‘The CPS made the choice to authorise prices after reviewing a file of proof from Merseyside Police.’
