Ali Carter reacts to O’Sullivan’s sweary rant and says ‘I do not suppose he is properly’

Ali Carter has hit again at Ronnie O’Sullivan because the disagreement between the Masters finalists continued.

The Rocket issued a blistering verbal assault on Carter in his press convention after successful their Ally Pally showpiece 10-7. Carter is again in motion this afternoon on the World Grand Prix. Before his first spherical match in opposition to Wu Yize he was quizzed about O’Sullivan’s extraordinary rant.

Carter advised ITV: “Ronnie’s entitled to his opinion of me. I just said what it is and how it was and talked facts. Simple as that.”

Asked if he was offended about O’Sullivan’s verbal onslaught: “Carter replied: “Angry about what?” He added: “It makes no difference to me what he said.

“He says different things on different days. I don’t think he knows what’s going to come out of his mouth at certain times. I actually feel a bit sorry for him, I don’t think he’s that well mentally. So we move forward and we go again.”

The Masters remaining was performed in entrance of a boisterous crowd at Alexandra Palace, which required the match referee to name order on a number of events. Carter was lower than impressed with these followers, branding them “morons” as he let a maiden Masters crown slip agonisingly from his grip.

“He needs to sort his f***ing life out,” an irate O’Sullivan started. “I’m not going to skirt round it anymore, tip-toeing on egg shells round somebody like that. He’s a f***ing nightmare.

“Playing snooker in opposition to somebody like that could be a nightmare. He’s not a pleasant individual. It’s not a pleasant vibe he leaves across the desk. I’ve mentioned my piece, I don’t give a s**t. I’ve mentioned it now, performed.

“You know what he’s like, everybody knows what he’s like. He’s got issues. F***ing why has he got issues with me? I’m not having it. I don’t care, grow some balls.

The world number one said that he hadn’t spoken to Carter for “20 years” admitting that he’s grown tired of his rival. “He’s obtained beef with me. He’s obtained points, he’s obtained to kind his life out, he’s obtained to see a counsellor or one thing,” added O’Sullivan.

The Rocket is now in hot water with the World Snooker Tour (WST), who have confirmed his outburst “was below evaluate”. The 48-year-old legend has reportedly been knowledgeable that his antics left the Tour hierarchy unimpressed.
