AI robots ‘copy’ bishops’ voices to con nuns out of hundreds in terrifying rip-off
Nuns have been conned out of hundreds of kilos after being focused by synthetic intelligence posing as pretend Bishops.
The “brides of Christ” have been placed on alert after a string of makes an attempt by callous conmen to defraud the convents of money.
They have been utilizing synthetic intelligence to change their voices and faces to impersonate non secular leaders and beg for cash for operations in Spain. The Guardia Civil police pressure mentioned that as much as 15 convents within the southern province of Jaen have been focused in the previous couple of weeks.

In the coastal city of Almeria, the bishop’s workplace warned that fraudsters are utilizing synthetic intelligence know-how “to achieve almost perfect imitations of voices and, in the case of videos, even the face and gestures of the impersonated person”.
One nun mentioned she instructed a fraudster who telephoned and launched himself because the Bishop of Jaen: “You’re not Don Sebastián, your voice is very hoarse.”
