Casemiro’s mum ‘unfollows Man Utd on Instagram’ as Real Madrid star closer to transfer

Casemiro’s mother followed then unfollowed Manchester United on Instagram in a slight hint over where her son will be heading very soon in the transfer window.

The Red Devils are entering desperation time in the transfer window having spent much of the summer fighting to convince Frenkie de Jong to ditch Barcelona for Stretford. While that deal is not dead in the water yet, the raid on Real Madrid for Casemiro might indicate the club’s confidence in signing the Dutchman.

And a transfer for Casemiro looks on after his mum followed United on Instagram – indicating that a move to Manchester is on the cards. A fee worth an initial £50.8million, plus £8.5m in potential add-ons has been offered.

However, Magda de Faria Casemiro later unfollowed the club on the social media app.

The Brazilian has also been offered mammoth wages that would see his Madrid contract doubled to £350,000-a-week over four years with an option for another year. That would see the midfielder earn £70m over the contract period.

It would also make him the third-highest paid player at Old Trafford, behind David de Gea (£375,000 a week) and Ronaldo (£480,000-a-week). With such extravagant finances involved, Casemiro is ready to leave the Bernabeu for United.
