Brit admits half in world monkey torture community utilizing nickname ‘The Immolator’

A twisted woman dubbed “The Immolator” has pleaded guilty to sharing sickening videos of monkeys being tortured in global online chat groups.

Holly LeGresley admitted to uploading a shocking stash of 22 images and 132 videos featuring the abuse of primates. The 37-year-old from Kidderminster faced Worcester Magistrates’ Court, where she was warned that “all options” are on the table for her sentencing next month.

She admittedcharges of publishing obscene articles and intentionally encouraging animal cruelty. She left the court hiding behind a face mask, after prosecutor Angla Hallan argued that due to the complex nature of the case, it should be bumped up to Worcester Crown Court.

Although the full details weren’t laid out in court, it was noted that the case involved elements of “sadism and high harm”. West Mercia Police charged LeGresley after getting a tip-off from the national wildlife crime unit, reports the Mirror.

The court heard that she and another unnamed woman had “not carried out monkey torture themselves,” but both were charged after being identified as part of online chat groups following a BBC expose on the trade.

LeGresley, who left the court without uttering a word, confessed to uploading images of monkey torture between March 25 and May 8 2022 and made a payment of £17.24 to a PayPal account to encourage cruelty on April 25 of the same year.

While details of the BBC’s undercover investigation weren’t disclosed in court, a BBC Eye inquiry led to at least 20 people being placed under global investigation last year.

They reported that LeGresley, using the username “The Immolator”, ran a poll for group members on which method of torture should be inflicted upon a baby monkey.

LeGresley is set for sentencing at the same court on June 7, but has been given conditional bail and instructed not to have unsupervised contact with any animal or child.
