94-year-old TikTook star goes viral by sharing ‘disco ball outfit’ for funeral

A grandma has gone viral on TikTok when she shared her “funeral outfits” with her 13 million fans.

Lillian Droniak, from Shelton, Connecticut in US, went viral last year as she posted a video talking about her reaction to her ex dying. Her witty response left viewers laughing, with some saying “I want to be like her when I’m at her age”.

The 94-year-old tweaked the popular phrase “OOTD” (meaning outfit of the day) to “OOTF” and her videos racked up millions of views in every post.

In her latest fashion-related video, she was dancing in the living room and said: “This is my OOTF – outfit of the funeral. If you don’t like it, I don’t care.

“I only want the ghosts to like it, we used to dance, that’s why I got these earrings on. May she slay in peace!”

Lilian had a black sweater with sparkly silver motifs on and a pair of long trousers. To match her gold frame glasses, Lilian went for a small black purse with gold hardware. As for her accessories, she put on a pair of eye-catching disco ball-shaped earrings.

One viewer tagged her friends in the comment and said: “If you lot don’t turn up to my funeral with this energy, we can’t be friends.”

“OOTF is now a trending phrase because you said it! May she slay in peace!” a second added and a third wrote: “I love the small honour to your friend by wearing the disco ball earring. That’s actually such a cute way to carry her with you.”

Lilian’s cheerful take on death has fans giggling and in one of her posts, she added a note to her viewers on what to wear to her funeral.

The pensioner joked: “You can look good but don’t look better than me. It’s my event, not yours. Don’t you dare wear flip-flops, and the last thing I want to see is your feet. And don’t you dare wear skinny jeans.

“You don’t have to wear black, don’t be boring, wear some colour! You can also wear my merch! Look how slay it is. There will be a merch table at the funeral, so you can buy some. Love ya!”

Lilian first started making videos with her grandson on YouTube around 2013 and right before the pandemic, they created a TikTok account as a joke to feature in one of their YouTube posts and it went viral.
