Fans have jokingly claimed that Jude Bellingham‘s ‘Spanish gene has been unlocked’ by Real Madrid‘s boozy Champions League title celebrations after he appeared to deliver two interviews in perfect Spanish.
Carlo Ancelotti‘s side have now returned home to Madrid following their 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund in Saturday’s final at Wembley and have been celebrating their 15th Champions League title with an open-top bus parade.
Bellingham, who clinched his first Champions League title at Wembley this weekend, was seen lapping up the celebrations on Sunday and delivered several interviews to the club’s television channel in Spanish.
He was first seen speaking to fans inside the Bernabeu as his side presented their supporters with the Champions League trophy.
In a video published on X (formerly Twitter) Bellingham takes the microphone and addresses the Madrid fans inside the stadium, saying: ‘Hola Madridstas’.

The midfielder then appeared to hug the interviewer, after delivering an impassioned speech
The English star then appeared to lead the stadium in a chat as his team-mates danced and cheered him on while they were stood on a plinth in the middle of the stadium. Bellingham then appeared to thank the fans for their support.
He was later seen delivering another interview in Spanish during the team’s open-top bus parade. Stood on top of the bus overlooking the newly refurbished Bernabeu, he appeared to deliver an impassioned speech to the club’s fans before shouting ‘Hala Madrid’ into the microphone.
Full of joy at winning his first European trophy, Bellingham then jumped up and down before hugging the interviewer.
And some have claimed that Madrid’s boozy title celebrations ‘have brought out his Spanish gene’ with one fan writing on X: ‘Few drinks have unlocked Jude’s Spanish gene. Bro did the whole interview in Spanish lol.’
Others were stumped as to how Bellingham got so good at Spanish so quickly: ‘How did he learn so fast…’
‘He’s even got those Z pronunciations on point. This boy gonna be the biggest star in world football this generation!’ another added.
Reflecting on the video of Bellingham on top of the team’s bus, several supporters claimed that the midfielder ‘was gone’.
‘He’s gone,’ wrote another with a laughing face emoji, while a second fan repeated their sentiment adding: ‘Jude Bellingham is gone!’
Some joked that Bellingham had appeared to have enjoyed a few drinks, while others were enamoured at his Spanish speaking abilities
The 20-year-old was also seen in a video leading fans inside the Bernabeu in a chant alongside his team-mates

‘No joke his Spanish is getting good still,’ added another, enamoured by Bellingham’s linguistics while one said: ‘His Spanish accent and pronunciation is actually very good for the amount of time he’s been there hahah.’
Bellingham, who joined the club last summer in a £113million transfer, has returned an impressive 23 goals and 13 assists.
He has also now helped his side clinch the LaLiga title, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League, and some compared his feats to that of Gareth Bale.
‘What Bale couldn’t do in 10 seasons, Jude did it in one,’ one fan added on X.
The English midfielder helped his side clinch a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on Saturday night and while Bellingham had a quiet performance by his own standards, he delivered the assist that allowed Vinicius Jnr to score his side’s second goal.
Celebrations erupted on the pitch at full time, with Bellingham being left speechless having won his first Champions League title in his inaugural season at the club.
The England star was seen lapping up the scenes inside Wembley with his family coming to join him on the pitch, before he delivered an emotional interview to TNT Sports.

‘It gets a bit hard at times and you wonder if it’s worth it and all those kind of things. Nights like tonight make you realise.
‘I was alright until I saw my mum and dad’s face there, the amount of nights where they could be at home by seven o’clock and they’re doing trips at 11, 12 at night to take me to football.
‘My little brother who I try to be a role model for, I can’t put it into words. It’s the best night of my life.’
The party appeared to go on into the night, with the 20-year-old superstar being seen dancing on the team bus while posing for photos with the trophy.
It’s not the first time that the English superstar has impressed fans with how quickly he appears to have picked up Spanish, with Bellingham having recently wowed fans by speaking in fluent Spanish during Real Madrid’s LaLiga title parade.
