A have a look at Taylor Swift’s onstage mishaps and malfunctions
After a long highly-anticipated wait, Taylor Swift has finally arrived in the UK for the latest leg of her Eras Tour.
The global megastar, 34, began the European leg of her £1.4billion tour last month as she returned with a new edited set list and costumes to go with her newly released album The Tortured Poets Department.
With an array of glamorous outfits, dynamic staging and incredible back up dancers, Taylor treats fans to a three hour set list as she takes them through each of her albums.
On Friday night the singer will play the first of three nights at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh before heading to Liverpool, Cardiff and London for dates throughout June.
However her performances haven’t come without their mishaps, as we take a look at the unplanned errors in the eras concert and Taylor proves the show must go on.

Missing THAT stage dive
As well as her impressive 45 song-long set, the star has also brought the theatrics to the show.
At one point during the performance, she takes a pool-like dive head-first off of the stage, exiting through a gap in the floor.
Disappearing in the most extravagant way, Taylor left fans in the audience in awe after she first debuted the stunt.
However, things didn’t quite go to plan during her show in Tampa Florida as she missed her cue for the iconic dive after the trap door failed to open.
Realising her escape route hadn’t opened up, Taylor was seen exclaiming: ‘What the f**k’ as she laughed with the audience, before adding ‘one more time’ and successfully diving off stage.
Choking on a fly

Introducing her new member, Taylor gushed: ‘We are so lucky to have them…’ before she was interrupted by a pesky fly.
As the singer began to cough and she told fans through her splutters: ‘Just swallowed a bug I am so sorry.
‘I am totally fine it is so stupid,’ before joking: ‘So delicious’.
Breaking her Louboutin heel

Taylor suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her performance at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in November.
The star broke one of her glitzy Louboutin heels mid set as she belted the lyrics to her biggest hit Cruel Summer.
And after tossing the heel into the crowd, the lucky fan who caught the broken sole is selling it to raise money for his cousin’s cancer treatment.
Felipe Conrado, who had VIP tickets to all three of Swift’s sold-out shows in Rio de Janeiro, is asking people to spread the word in the hopes a collector will snap up the one-of-a-kind item.
‘As many have been following, we are in a large mobilization to help fund my cousin’s cancer treatment,’ began Felipe, whose caption was translated from Portuguese to English by DailyMail.com. ‘If you can share or disclose, the link is in the bio!’
He insisted that whatever money is made will go directly to his cousin Ângela Conrado’s cancer treatment fund.
‘I’m a BIG Taylor fan, if any collectors are interested in the jump [sic], 100% of the amount will go to the treatment,’ Felipe wrote.
‘Thank you for helping to spread the word, sharing, helping and spreading the word! We going to win this battle.’
The piano mysteriously playing by itself
Taylor was left baffled after her piano began playing itself as she sat down for the acoustic part of her performance at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts
Taylor was left baffled after her piano began playing itself as she sat down for the acoustic part of her performance at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The pop princess looked notably shocked when her keyboard began playing during Red (Taylor’s Version) as she shouted to the crowd: ‘I didn’t play that!’
As the piano continued to make sounds, horrified Taylor covered her face and questioned if it was just her who was hearing it, asking fans: ‘Oh my god, do you hear that? Is that happening for you guys too?’
The star had played an entire three and a half hour show in the pouring rain earlier this week and Taylor explained that the piano malfunctioned due to water damage from the rain.
Referencing the downpour, she said: ‘What happened is, long story short, I get to my acoustic set, you know when you’ve been in a bath for too long and your fingers are so pruned, like I looked at my fingers trying to play the guitar, and it was like I was in a bath for 2.5 hours of lukewarm water,
‘Another thing that has happened is that [the water] has clearly broken my keyboard because [the keyboard] was literally underwater, so this is broken.’
‘I didn’t know how any of the instruments were working last night. So this is broken, I’m just gonna get the guitar. It’s gonna be fine.’
Losing her mic in her dress
Taylor was left fiddling with the back of her royal blue wrap dress — where her mic pack would be — while holding her guitar in one hand at her show in Stockholm, Sweden last month
Taylor proved she’s a total pro as she patiently worked through a technical issue during her concert in Stockholm, Sweden last month.
She was left fiddling with the back of her royal blue wrap dress — where her mic pack would be — while holding her guitar in one hand.
After trying to fix it herself for several seconds, Taylor politely told the audience: ‘Talk amongst yourselves,’ before walking away from her standing mic.
She then sat down at a piano located at the edge of the stage, where she unfastened her dress, revealing a sparkly bra top and black shorts.
A member of her crew then ran out on stage to help the Anti-Hero singer.
After messing with a piece of equipment that was attached to the back of her shorts, to her relief the issue was fixed just moments later.
The crowd cheered as the multi-Grammy Award-winner wrapped her dress back up and resumed the performance.
Missing the chair

However, the star, clad in a midnight blue leotard, misjudged the chair’s position and was seen stumbling before regaining her composure.
Fans quickly took to social media to laud the star for avoiding catastrophe onstage, writing: ‘she’s been doing her squats bc i would’ve fallen right on my a**’
Another penned: ‘Her thighs probably so strong that she could sit like that without the chair for the whole song.’
Microphone malfunction

Taylor suffered an awkward moment when her microphone broke during her show in Chicago last June.
Attempting to fix the technical difficulty herself, the singer played around with the mic before hitting it vigorously, but to know avail.
She was saved by a member of her crew who came running with a back up mic as Taylor joked with the audience: ‘Alright guys let’s start this over again, none of that happened.
‘Lets take a second to rewind our memories and none of that happened. We are back to 36 seconds ago.’
Running off stage

She sprinted offstage after a secret floor panel failed to open and lower her to the backstage area
Taylor was forced to run off stage following a mishap during her Eras Tour show at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, last July.
The pop superstar had just finished a song on the extended part of the stage, and was waiting for a secret platform on the floor to open and lower her to the backstage area.
However the panel failed to activate in the normal amount of time, so the singer took quick action and decided to make a run to the back of her main stage.
Some fans captured the moment on camera, and it’s since gone viral on social media.
In the clip, Taylor can be seen putting on a burst of speed to run past her dancers during the show, seemingly out of fear she would be late for a quick change.
The Look What You Made Me Do singer stood motionless, as her backup dancers walked towards the main stage, in the moments after the song ended.
Dressed in a one-legged, black-patterned bodysuit, heeled boots and fishnet stockings during that part of the show, Taylor waited for about five seconds for that floor panel to activate.
Then she made her mad dash along the extended part of the stage, past the dancers, to the back area.
In the end the All Too Well star didn’t have anything to fear because the panel started to open moments after she made a run for it.
