Nigel Farage attacked – objects thrown as Reform UK chief advised ‘keep on bus’
A man has been arrested after Nigel Farage narrowly dodged being pelted by ‘objects’ while out on the campaign trail.
A protester chucked things at Nigel Farage in Barnsley town centre, narrowly missing the Reform UK leader.
Mr Farage said he believes the objects were some wet cement from a work site followed by a coffee cup.
He was on the top of the Reform battle bus when the incident happened. Mr Farage had just addressed supporters but was interrupted by a crowd of demonstrators. Police arrested the man who threw the objects.
Mr Farage said he had been warned by police not to get off the bus.
Tweeting a clip of the moment the items were thrown, Mr Farage wrote: “My huge thanks to South Yorkshire Police today. I will not be bullied or cowed by a violent left-wing mob who hate our country.”
