Arsenal switch goal Sesko damage replace earlier than key England Euro 2024 conflict
Slovenia star man Benjamin Sesko is winning his battle to start in the crunch Euro 2024 Group C showdown with England.
Sesko has been battling a muscle problem since the end of the domestic season. The striker has appeared in both of Slovenia’s games so far, but had to be taken off towards the end of his side’s draw with Serbia last week.
The 21-year-old has been undergoing intensive treatment from the Slovenia medical team ever since. But he underwent scans over the weekend, which revealed an improvement in his condition.

And now he is expected to lead Slovenia’s attack against the Three Lions in Cologne on Tuesday night (June 25). Matjaz Kek’s side currently sit third behind England and Denmark in Group C, having drawn both of their games so far.
Slovenia will likely need at least a point against England to progress to the knockout stages for the first time in their history. Red Bull Leipzig forward Sesko had been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, with Mikel Arteta keen to boost his attacking options.

But Sesko decided to sign a contract extension with Leipzig instead, which will keep him at the club until 2029. The 6ft 5in striker previously won three Austrian Bundesliga titles with Red Bull Salzburg, before making the move to their sister club Leipzig.
He scored 18 goals in 42 games in all competitions in his debut year at Leipzig, winning the DFL-Supercup. He has bagged 11 goals in 31 appearances for his country, including his first at the age 18, which made him Slovenia’s youngest ever goalscorer.
