Jay Slater pal’s mum slams ‘horrible lies’ and insists she’s ‘not partying’
The mother of one of Jay Slater’s pals has hit back at trolls hurling abuse at the missing teen’s loved ones.
The 19-year-old went missing nine days ago in Tenerife after going to the three-day NRG festival with friends.
As the search for the missing Lancashire lad amped up, so too did the abuse from the many online bullies attacking Jay’s family and friends.

As savage trolls relentlessly torment Slater’s inner circle with false death posts, fake theories and sick messages, the mum of one of his friends has slammed their ‘horrible lies’.
The parent spoke out after a video surfaced of her “partying on a boat” and was accused of living life up while Jay’s distraught family continue their search.
The mum, who is one of the organisers of the GoFundMe campaign that has raised more than £30,000, reports The Sun, took to social media to hit back at the false claim.
She wrote: “This is another horrible lie about myself firstly this isn’t me.
“I took the video on my last holiday on a boat trip. This was when I went to Turkey in April. This clip, someone stole it and saying I am in Tenerife partying.
“I am here looking for my son’s best friend not partying if anyone did see this. Absolutely heartbroken. It was a previous holiday.”
The woman was targeted earlier, when she was used as part of a fake online death hoax.
Trolls pretending to be her posted: “Jay’s body has been found. Our hearts are with his family in these evil times, we’ve heard from locals that it was the job of Morrocans(sic).”
This follows reports the missing teen’s Instagram account was “mysteriously accessed”, according to a friend.
Daily Star reported that the account has been in use since he disappeared, but his friends are confident that neither he nor his mother have accessed it.
A family friend posted a message from Jay’s mother and said: “Jay’s mums asked I post this… For everyone asking who has logged into his instagram account, it’s not him or her, somebody else has logged into it.”
