Naked revellers social gathering within the buff at competition dubbed ‘Party within the Stark’
Naked revellers will rave it up in the buff for three days solid at a festival for folk who love stripping off.
By day, attendees at Party in the Stark will splash around in the swimming pool where nudity is “compulsory” before boogying the night away in their birthday suits at unclothed silent discos. There will be plenty of ball games – with naked petanque and badminton all weekend.
And it’ll be sausages all round at the “Bare-bq” meat feast. The Naturist Foundation is hosting the event from July 26- 29 at their Kent holiday park Brocken Hurst.

It has been running for several years and is thriving despite other small UK festivals struggling to survive. Other upcoming events include a 2000s naked club night and a 5k run in the nude.
Naturism is booming in the UK with the number of naturists doubling in a decade, according to a 2022 study by Ipsos. The survey, commissioned by British Naturism, found that 14% of people now proudly declare themselves nudists.
That is the equivalent of 6.8m people. Another festival, Nudefest in Somerset, hosted 700 people for nuddy axe-throwing, volleyball, yoga and crafts last month. But despite the name, the soggy weather sometimes leaves people with no choice but to cover up.
Andrew Welch, from British Naturism, said: “People who have never been often ask if it is essential to be nude. Well, that’s the general idea, but no. The British weather often dictates that and because of cloudless days the temperature in the evenings was cool.”
Revellers often end up stripping off later on after throwing some shapes. The naked boffin added: “By the time you strut your stuff on the dance floor you’ve probably taken it all off, as have all the groovers around you.”
Other guests bare all on visits to local cider farms or take part in a naked walk to celebrate World Naked Hiking Day. The more adventurous visitors let loose on a 25m-long slip-and-slide.
