Golf star storms off beam after The Open shot trickles 30 yards wanting gap
Romain Langasque dramatically stormed off the Royal Troon Golf Club course.
Battling against brutal 16 mph winds, Langasque’s routine swing saw the ball fall a shocking 30 yards short on the 8th hole. The shot ended up in the fescue after a measly 84-yard journey, nowhere near the 120-yard par-3 hole.
His second attempt was even worse, as he shanked it past the green. Visibly miffed, Langasque whipped off his cap, shaking his head in disbelief before surrendering his club to his caddie.

He then bid farewell to his squad, muttering “I’m done,” and blamed a dodgy back for his exit from the season’s final major. The Frenchman threw in the towel sitting at +4 through eight.
Langasque’s woes were clear for all to see as he notched up a 3-over par across seven before throwing in the towel. He’d rocked up to the tourney on a high, having snagged third place at the Genesis Scottish Open just the week before, clocking in a tidy -15, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is braving the event despite ongoing ankle, back, and foot dramas. This year’s a biggie for him, marking his first crack at all four majors post his 2021 car wreck.
Despite his struggles, Woods is dead set on his chances of clinching more major glory. His journey so far has seen him finish 60th at the Masters, but he missed the cut at both the PGA Championship and the US Open.
Woods’ determination to battle through his physical limitations keeps fans on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating a comeback from one of golf’s greatest icons. Sebastian Soderberg also withdrew from the 152nd Open at the last minute because of a back and rib injury.
