Despite interest from Saudi Arabia, the Brazilian keeper reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool last week and expressed his satisfaction with the club’s decision to sign another goalkeeper.

Since joining Valencia from Dinamo Tbilisi in 2021, Mamardashvili has made over 100 appearances and was Georgia’s starting goalkeeper at Euro 2024.
Ahead of a league match against Athletic Club, Valencia manager Ruben Baraja expressed his delight that Mamardashvili would remain with the team for the upcoming season.
“The most positive thing is that he can compete with us this year,” Baraja said, according to Marca, reports the Mirror. “The club, through the economic possibilities it has, makes a great sale that was expected to be necessary for the club’s economy.
“And we still have Giorgi with us from a sporting point of view, who will compete with Dimitrievski and Jaume to have a good season and who can be decisive, which is what the team needs.”
