Airline with most drunk passenger rows from ‘pooing on flooring’ to ‘boozy assault’
The airline with the most drunk passengers incidents has been revealed – and it’s not who you might think.
According to a new study from insurance comparison website Go Compare, EasyJet has become the airline disrupted by the most drunk passengers. Being named the worst airline for drunk behaviour overall, it topped the list with 29% of travellers claiming that they had been on flights disrupted by alcohol-loving louts.
The findings come from a new survey which asked travellers about their experiences of intoxicated passengers when flying and their opinions of alcohol consumption on planes.

Those who said they had experienced drunken disruptions were asked about which airlines the incidents took place, with budget operators like EasyJet and Ryanair most commonly named.
Coming in second is the airline most people probably would have thought would top the list – Ryanair with 22%. And the top five was rounded out by British Airways at 15%, TUI with 12% and Jet2 at 10%.
Under the Air Navigation Order, it’s against the law for anyone to be intoxicated while on or boarding an aircraft, meaning a large number of flyers break the law while travelling on a plane. Passengers who get drunk on a plane can face a maximum punishment of two years in prison and a £5,000 fine.
Despite this, most travellers are against the introduction of alcohol restrictions for air travel. Around 29% believe alcohol should be banned in airports, with over a third (34%) saying a ban should apply to airlines. Over half (57%) don’t believe either measure should be introduced.
Rhys Jones, travel expert at Go.Compare, said: “Whether it’s due to the destinations they visit, their alcohol policies, or how much they charge for drinks, some airlines are clearly worse than others for drunken disruption. If you’re someone who prefers a flight without any drama, this might be something to consider when choosing which operator you travel with for your next holiday.”
Recent incidents on the poll-topping EasyJet, include a wild video of passengers singing and dancing along to Siedah Garrett’s song, Do You Want It Right Now, which is being blasted out of a speaker – causing disruption for all those on-board.
Another incident saw an EasyJet flight turned to carnage when a passenger began swinging punches, screaming “f****ing f*nny” at crew and police. The passenger was onboard a flight travelling from Edinburgh to Turkey, and was filmed as a shocking video released on social media detailed the unhinged moment which left fellow passengers scared and comforting upset children.
Earlier this year, police stormed an easyJet plane on the runway at Manchester Airport as a passenger was allegedly “behaving disruptively” onboard.
A number of officers boarded the aircraft as it sat on the runway and a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. A man was seen being led away before other passengers were able to disembark.
And in another shocking moment, EasyJet passengers were left fuming after the airline was forced to cancel a flight because a passenger “defecated on the toilet floor” – leaving them stuck in Tenerife.
A wild clip of the incident emerged online where the pilot can be heard saying: “…rather entertaining to defecate the front toilet so we’re now staying the night here, we’re now going to get everyone off… and organise hotels then we’ll fly back tomorrow morning”.
