Angela Rayner is noticed raving in a DJ sales space on social gathering island Ibiza

Angela Rayner has been spotted raving in a DJ booth in Ibiza ahead of Parliament returning from its summer recess.

The Deputy Prime Minister was shown dancing on the Spanish party island in a video posted by actress Denise van Outen.

In the footage, the Labour politician is seen wearing a red outfit as she dances along to a remix of Gotye’s hit song Somebody That I Used to Know.

Ms Rayner, holding a bottle in one hand, then turns towards her fellow partygoers before hugging the DJ.

The 44-year-old has previously boasted of her 12-hour-plus ‘rave’ sessions while drinking vodka.

Speaking at an event at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, Ms Rayner revealed how she had just returned from a holiday in Spain where she had partied from mid-afternoon to sunrise the next morning.

The Labour frontbencher, who has been dubbed ‘Grangela’ at Westminster after she welcomed a grandchild at the age of 37, said: ‘The girls I was raving with are half my age, and I was like “I’m a grandma”.

‘I was proud of that. 4pm I started, and I got home at six o’clock in the morning when the sun was shining and I was like, ‘Yes, I can do it’.’

Asked if she did it ‘with or without chemical support’, she said she just had vodka.

‘You’ve got to go with the music, the vibes. You’ve got to be in the moment and it takes you,’ Ms Rayner added.

Since Labour’s general election victory, the Deputy PM has spent the summer working on Labour’s overhaul of planning rules.

Ms Rayner is also spearheading a series of controversial workers’ rights reforms.

In an Instagram post, which included the footage of Ms Rayner raving, Van Outen wrote: ‘@pikesibiza @hiibizaofficial @followthefishtv (Including a surprise booth rave up with Angela Rayner) @tshamusic’
