‘I’m Noel and Liam Gallagher’s secret sister’ and was ‘cooked as Liam was born’

Oasis brothers Noel and Liam have a secret sister, but they have never even met.

Emma Davies, 51, is hoping for a sunday morning call from one of the famous brothers so the relatives can get acquainted. She was born just months apart from Liam, but is his half-sister by virtue of his womanising dad Tommy.

Despite the blood relation, Emma’s son was unable to get a ticket for the gents’ reunion tour next year, thanks to the huge ticket prices slapped on fans of the band.

Emma even grew up a few streets away from the Gallaghers, but it may as well have been half the world away as she only discovered the truth when she was 23.

It was the smash hit second album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory, released in 1995, that prompted Emma’s mum to tell her her true identity.

She came home with the CD a year later, causing her mum to reveal the truth for the first time. Emma, who was eight months pregnant with her daughter Isobel at the time, said she was “flabbergasted” and “taken aback” by the news.

She said to the Mail: “I was a fan of Oasis – that’s why I bought the CD. Up until the age of 12, I grew up in Burnage and we lived a few streets away from the Gallaghers but I didn’t know.

“They went to the Catholic school which was a different one from the one I went to. Our paths could have crossed for all I know and they probably did. It’s very bizarre.”

To this day, Emma hopes to meet them.

“I would like to meet them,” she told the newspaper. “Obviously you’re going to want to meet your brothers.”

But Emma isn’t looking back in anger, saying she has “no bad feelings about anything”. She merely hopes the pair can get in touch so they can meet her son Jake, 31, a big Oasis fan whom Emma likens to Liam.

“All the hype surrounding the reunion has brought a lot of it back,” she said. “I thought it would be another chance to meet them – I would say more for Jake now than anything because he does look like them a lot and he’s massively into them.”

Some might say Emma’s resemblance to the Oasis boys is striking. She is the child of an affair between her mum and Tommy, who was already married with children when he met her at a local disco.

Emma’s mum did not know Tommy was married at the time, reports say. She said: “’I was born a few months after Liam – so I was being cooked as he was coming out. All my mother had told me was that she didn’t know he was married. He had charmed her and they had this bit of a relationship.

“Every time they saw each other he took her back to a friend’s flat which he claimed was his place. It was all based on lies.”

Emma said she hadn’t seen Tomy since his mum when to court to get child maintenance from Tommy, but there was “no contact” after that until they met again in 2006.

The rekindling of the relationship didn’t last long and the pair became estranged again.

It was a chance encounter, rather than a masterplan, that meant she nearly crossed paths with Liam just after Emma found out about her past for the first time. Liam and his then wife stayed where Emma was working at the Mottram Hall Hotel near Prestbury, Cheshire.

“I thought it must be fate,” Emma said, but revealed she decided not to confront Liam about it.

She said: “I thought ‘What would I say?’ I knew he was my brother but you can’t knock on the door and say ‘I’m your sister’. It would sound really weird. At the time I was pregnant with Isobel so he was probably going to think it was a lunatic or some hormonal pregnant woman.”

A kind colleague provided her with a CD and t-shirt Liam had left behind.

But that is all she has of her half brothers. All of her attempts to contact them have left her feeling “rejected”.

Learning to roll with it, Emma settled down in Cheshire with her partner Darren. She wished the Gallaghers the best with their reunion, but it is unlikely her desire to meet them will acquiesce.
