Drink-driving father caught on the wheel with two youngsters within the automotive

This is the shocking moment a father three times over the drink-drive limit is caught behind the wheel with his two children in the car.

Prince Siziba, 32, was stopped, breathalysed and arrested in Woodston, Peterborough, last month after a concerned member of the public called the police.

Siziba blew a staggering 103 in a roadside breath test – despite the legal limit being 35.

Bodycam footage shows police flagging down the vehicle on the evening of 24 August.

One of the officers tells Siziba he can smell alcohol coming off him ‘really badly’ before he asks the ages of his two children.

Appearing to slur his words he falters and says one is sixteen, before the child corrects him saying he’s actually 13.

Siziba was pulled over in his Toyota Coralla on Oundle Road, Peterborough, after he was spotted driving erratically.

After the car draws to a halt one officer says: ‘I’m here about the manner of your driving. I can smell alcohol coming off you really badly at the moment.’

The arresting officer then adds to a colleague: ‘Can you keep an eye on the kids for me, make sure they’re alright?’

A member of the public called 999 to report a man, who they believed to be drunk, getting into the driver’s seat of a Corolla in the Lidl car park in Sugar Way, Woodston, Peterborough.

It was reported that the man, who fell into the driver’s seat, also had two children in the car with him.

Police officers spotted the Corolla in Oundle Road where it kept crossing the central lines before stopping for the officers.

Siziba, of Linnet, Orton Wistow, Peterborough, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Friday September 13 where he admitted drink driving and driving without insurance.

He has been disqualified from driving for 25 months and must pay a £350 fine.

Detective Constable Les Ellmer, who investigated, said: ‘Siziba’s actions were incredibly selfish, not only putting his life and other road users at risk, but choosing to get behind the wheel drunk while his own children were in the car.

‘I would like to thank the person who called us to report this – if anyone believes someone is driving under the influence of drink or drugs, always dial 999.’
