Pep Guardiola sweating on Kevin De Bruyne health after Champions League draw
Pep Guardiola was left sweating on the fitness of Kevin De Bruyne, following a frustrating night at the Etihad.
Manchester City were held to a goalless draw by a stubborn Inter Milan side in their opening game of the revamped Champions League. It was just the second time in 42 home Champions League games under Guardiola that City had failed to score.
Erling Haaland missed out on the chance to reach 100 goals for City, after failing to score in a game for the first time this season. And to make matters worse, De Bruyne limped off at half time with what appeared to be a groin problem, leaving him doubtful for the crunch showdown with title rivals Arsenal on Sunday.

Guardiola admitted he didn’t know how serious De Bruyne’s injury was until speaking to his medical team today (Thu).
But despite seeing his 2023 winners draw a blank against the Italian champions, Guardiola admitted he was still on love with the performance.
Guardiola said: “I haven’t spoken to the doctors yet. I will have more information when I do.
“We played so good, and I love my team. We are a fantastic team. But Inter are the masters of defending, and in transition they are really strong as well.
“I’m really pleased for the performance we did. It is the beginning of the season, so these players will be better.”
Inter boss Simone Inzaghi was delighted to leave Manchester with a point – and piled praise on his side.
Inzaghi said: “I said well done guys, because they put in a giant performance. I asked them to play exactly as they did.
“We all know Manchester City and what they are capable of. We knew we had to pull out all the stops play a great game – and we did it.”
