Kate Middleton pictured for first time after sharing brave most cancers replace

Kate Middleton has made her first public appearance since announcing the end of her chemotherapy treatment for cancer.

The 42-year-old Princess was spotted attending church with her husband Prince William, also 42, King Charles and Queen Camilla. She sported a khaki hat while seated in the passenger seat of a car driven by the Prince of Wales.

Earlier this month, Catherine shared an emotional video where she revealed that she had completed her chemotherapy course. In the poignant footage, the mother-of-three described the past nine months since her cancer diagnosis as “scary” and “incredibly tough”, but added: “Out of darkness can come light.”

Despite feeling well, the future Queen acknowledged she is now on a lengthy recovery journey. However, she plans to commence a light schedule of engagements.

In the sincere and touching video, Catherine took a moment to express solidarity with “all those who are continuing their own cancer journey”, stating: “I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand,” reports the Mirror.

In one playful scene, Kate is seen jumping on hay bales and playing cards with her children in Norfolk. In the video, she confessed to coming “face to face” with her own “vulnerabilities” and expressed relief at the completion of her chemotherapy treatment, saying: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.

“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”

On Tuesday this week, Catherine was joined by her household team and staff from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, the organisation she established to promote the issue and conduct research, for a meeting at Windsor Castle.

It is only the third time she has been mentioned in the official record of royal engagements since her health scare began at the start of the year. The Court Circular stated: “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.”

While undergoing treatment, Catherine had been quietly working behind the scenes, liaising with her staff and representatives from the centre, although these meetings were not officially documented. She made an appearance at the King’s birthday parade in June.

In the subsequent month, she had the honour of presenting the men’s Wimbledon final trophy to Carlos Alcaraz, with both events making it into the Court Circular. The Prince of Wales also featured in the official record for Tuesday, following his visit to the 22 Special Air Service Regiment in Credenhill, Herefordshire.
