Liverpool icon bonked Katie Price ‘like a cordless drill’ going ‘bang bang bang’
John Arne Riise had a hammer of a left foot – but that’s not the only time he’s been compared to a construction tool.
The former Liverpool fullback and Champions League winner, who turns 44 on Tuesday (September 24), was once referred to as a “cordless drill” by Katie Price after the pair seemingly got down and dirty in the sheets.
The ex-Norwegian international and the glamour model had a fling in late 2011 that led into early 2012, with Katie aka Jordan writing about their bedroom antics in her book, Reborn. However, she wasn’t too complimentary, with the verdict: “If I’d needed a shelving unit erected, he’d have been perfect.”

“Instead of handling me gently and passionately like most women want, he was like a cordless drill on a multi-speed setting! He reminded me of a red Bosch that I have in my garage,” the scathing model wrote about a mystery man.
“Bang… bang… bang, bang, bang. At one point I panicked, thinking, ‘S***, if he doesn’t stop soon, I’m going to be permanently attached to the bed!’ Mr X wasn’t having sex with me, he was having sex at me.”

The mystery lover was only known as Mr X until The Sun revealed his identity in 2016. The newspaper wrote: “John Arne Riise is Katie’s mystery Mr X.
“He had always fancied Katie and jumped at the chance to be introduced to her. She took more persuading as he really wasn’t her type but after a while they started hooking up for a few months.
“It fizzled out and she thought it was finally time to talk all about it in her book – and she’s doesn’t have too many complimentary things to say about his moves in the bedroom.”

The glamour model, now 46, was the one who called it quits on the fling after Riise, who also lifted the FA Cup and League Cup with the Reds, was spotted getting cosy with other women.
A source said: “Katie suspected he wasn’t really that into her after a friend spotted him out and about looking cosy with another woman. She was hardly besotted with him so she called it off.”
Riise has since settled down with Louise Angelica, who he married in 2014 – shortly before leaving Fulham. He hung his boots up in 2017, before briefly coming out of retirement in 2023 for Avaldsnes – where he managed the women’s team – making one appearance, even finding the net.
