Harry Kane breaks silence on ex-Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel taking England function
Harry Kane has thrown his support behind Thomas Tuchel as the man to steer the England squad to glory.
Tuchel, 51, was named as the new England boss on Wednesday after last being seen in the dugout since waving goodbye to Bayern Munich over the summer, where he brought the England captain to Bavaria.
And Kane as dubbed Tuchel ‘a fantastic coach’ when speaking his old gaffer. The Bayern sensation spoke to Sky German hours before Tuchel was confirmed as the Three Lions boss.

Kane said: “To be honest, I haven’t heard anything specific about it yet. That’s why I can’t really comment on it until it’s officially announced. We’ll have to wait and see what happens,” reports the Mirror.
“I obviously know Thomas very well from the last year. He’s a fantastic coach and a fantastic person. I’m sure the FA will contact me when they know more about this issue.”

England’s record goalscorer wrote on X: “Looking forward to playing under the boss again!”
At his press conference on Wednesday, Tuchel admitted he’d not spoken to Kane before taking the job: “I didn’t speak to no one, we kept the process confidential. I didn’t speak to Harry or Gareth.
“I normally do this to keep my own view. It’s too early to answer these types of questions. But you know how highly I think of Harry and how hard I fought to take him to Bayern Munich.

“We will answer this question latest in March.”
Tuchel will take up the job in January, where he will be tasked with guiding England to the World Cup before attempting to end 60 years of hurt.
