Moment Tesco thief climbs by way of ROOF to steal money whereas employees watch

A brazen Tesco thief with scant regard for the law climbed through a roof so he could steal some cash from behind the till as staff stood and watched.

The male – who is dressed in a black tracksuit and hooded coat – makes his way to the top of the till before plunging headfirst through electrical wires in the white-tiled ceiling to come out the other side of the protective glass.

He proceeds to empty the contents of the shelf behind him into his bag and eye up the till.

The security guard is described as ‘casually leaving the scene’.

A video of the incident circulating on social media has incited many strong comments.

One person, Walter Corran, said on TikTok: ‘This is Starmer’s Britain.’

Another, McChutney, added: ‘Security guy is there to make sure we customers pay for bags and not take them !!’

A third person, Teddy n Coco, said: ‘Every little helps.’

MailOnline has contacted Tesco for comment. It is understood that the store is located in London.

Many people have jokingly speculated that the thief in the video may be a doctor or engineer due to his technical skills.

One person, Caplan Brakos, concluded: ‘I feel sorry for people in the UK. Robbery in broad daylight and the government is okay with it since they don’t wanna lock ’em up for good.’

A few customers can also be seen in the store casually going about their shopping – including one other masked individual who leaves just as the incident occurs.
