Love appeared to be in the air as Vanessa Feltz settled down for a dinner date at upscale Essex restaurant Sheesh in March.
Still bruised following a painful split from ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu little more than a year earlier, Feltz was in the company of another younger man, this one recognised more for his looks tham his name.
Indeed, the TV personality , 62, was accompanied by make model Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, better known to many as the ‘most swiped’ man on Tinder.
Aged 33 and some 29-years younger than Feltz, it looked like another age-gap romance could be on the cards, but the presenter admits she had little in common with the dashing Frenchman.
Despite enjoying ‘four or five dinners’ in the company of Tomlin, Feltz told The Times what she really wants is ‘someone I could hand bits of The Sunday Times to and say, “Look, shall we go to this?” I believe in love. I do. I really hope to find it with someone. I don’t like it on my own.’

Feltz has been dipping a cautious toe in the dating pool following a high-profile separation from Ofoedu, a former singer with early 2000s garage act Phats & Small.
The presenter ended their 17-year relationship after Ofoedu, who is 10-years her junior, was accused of cheating on her.
Her quest to find another lasting romance also resulted in an ultimately unsuccessful appearance on Celebs Go Dating, but she’s determined to continue throwing her hat into the ring.
‘I hate it, obviously,’ she said. ‘As soon as I meet someone I like, I won’t hate it. So I’m doing it as a kind of numbers game. I can’t go on any apps — I’ll end up in the paper.’
Feltz also admits the emergence of dietary drug Ozempic has made her regret having gastric band surgery in 2010, followed by gastric bypass surgery – a procedure that permanently curbs the appetite – some eight years later.
‘If I’d known it was going to be invented, obviously I would not have had the surgery,’ she said.
‘I’d have bloody well injected it in the thigh for the rest of my life and I’d have been delighted to do it.
‘Unfortunately I slightly predated it, which is a f∗∗∗ing shame. It’s fabulous. Everyone [in the public eye] who used to be fat and now isn’t is using it, whatever they say.

‘Every single one. We don’t know what the long-term effects are but who cares? At least you’re thin.’
Recently, the presenter risked an awkward run-in with Ofoedu as he arrived with his new girlfriend Precious Muir, 33 at Back To The Future’s 1000th West End performance event on Thursday.
Precious later told MailOnline of her relationship with the former singer: ‘Yes we enjoy spending time together.
‘We haven’t put any labels on it but yes we spend time together and will continue to spend time together’.
Ofoedu has since embarked on a new relationship with Precious Muir (seen attending Back to the Future The Musical – gala night at the Adelphi Theatre in London on January 25, 2024)
