Littler produces one of many ‘biggest performances of all-time’ with 116 common

Luke Littler has produced one of the greatest darts performances of all-time.

Littler, 17, had battered Nathan Aspinall at the Czech Darts Open on Saturday (19 October) evening, setting the tournaments highest ever average with 110.43. And it took him less than 24 hours to top that incredible milestone as he breezed past Damon Heta in round three.

Heta and Littler’s clash was a blink and you’ll miss it affair – the 17-year-old took off like a train with two 12-darters to make it 2-0. A 13-darter then made it 3-0, before Heta got on the scoreboard with a 14-darter.

However, any sense of a comeback were washed away as Littler made it 5-1, before almost nailing a nine-darter to put the proverbial icing on the cake as he chalked up a 116.51 average.

“Unreal that. You have to feel for Heta there. Averages 105.59 and still gets absolutely battered,” one fan shared. While a second replied: “Kid is a robot that’s outrageous!”

“Ridiculous. Heta averaged 105 and hardly got near him,” a third chimed. And another added: “Nearly 117 average at the age of 17, f***ing ridiculous!”

Littler now has a date with Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals. Might Mike advanced to the quarters without much trouble, beating Alan Soutar 6-2 – finishing the match with a cool 142 checkout.

Elsewhere in the quarter-finals, Luke Humphries and Mike De Decker will lock horns again just one week after their all-time classic in the final of the World Grand Prix. Niels Zonneveld, Jonny Clayton, Kim Huybrechts and Jermaine Wattimena also booked their spots in the last eight.
