Killer whale takes a poo in pool at vacationer attraction – then splashes it on the gang

Audience members attending a killer whale show at a US attraction got more than just water when they sat in the splash zone.

Mid-display the giant mammal took a toilet break in the pool, then doused the gathered families with the soiled water. Alex Bermudez posted a video to TikTok showing the orca swimming in its glass-walled pool at SeaWorld San Antonio, with a cloud of whale excrement following behind it as it swam away. The oceanic creature then reappears while the water is still muddied with effluence, and splashes the faeces-filled liquid onto several rows of the crowd, and SeaWorld employees.

The rush of water – which Alex admitted in the comments came too quickly to react – elicited a mixture of shock, disgust and amusement from the onlookers.

Alex captioned his clip: “DUDE!!! This whale wants to S**t, but also want to splash his S**ton us,” along with a sick emoji.

Among the hastags following the caption, Alex included ‘gross’ and ‘funny’. There was an equally finely-balanced mix of horror, amusement and disgust in the hundreds of comments the video received.

One viewer wrote: “And they all just sat there and watched it happen.” However, the poster responded: “It happened so fast.” Another said: “That was personal.”

A third added: “Omg I’m never sitting in the splash zone again.” While a fourth queried: “How is this not viral?”

SeaWorld announced in 2016 that it would end its orca breeding program and phase out the animals at its parks after the current generation dies out.

It says that the current generation will be cared for at SeaWorld for decades to come. They added that while they are there: “Our goal is to help our guests, and the world, explore the wonders around them, and then inspire them to take action to protect wild animals and wild places.

“SeaWorld’s killer whales are vital to that mission, and while they will be the last generation of killer whales at SeaWorld, they will still be around for decades to come, inspiring millions of guests and people across the globe to take action with us today.”
