Pub hits again after punters slam £25 full English breakfast saying ‘it isn’t Mayfair’

A top-notch pub has clapped back at disgruntled punters who’ve been tearing into its £25 Full English breakfast.

The Cow Shed in Ospringe, near Faversham, Kent’s all-you-can-eat deal became the talk of the town after it got roasted online for its hefty price tag.

The eatery stood its ground, defending the unlimited grub offer that includes a full plate of English breakfast staples, alongside an array of fresh pastries, cereals, and bottomless hot drinks and juices.

Last week, social media was ablaze with comments like: “Good grief! That’s madness! ” and “No breakfast is worth £25, even if it is unlimited. This is Faversham, not Mayfair.”

Some even talked about crowdfunding to afford the feast, with one saying: “Considering setting up a GoFundMe page in order that I can try this lavish breakfast at some point.”

In a fiery 800-word retort, the Cow Shed laid out its stance, saying: “Yes, it’s definitely aimed for those who want to indulge, who are comfortable in spending the extra cash to immerse themselves in our quality ‘ALL YOU CAN EAT’ breakfast.”

They went on to boast about their Cow Shed grill up (usually £13.50 – full English), home recipe sausages, and the spread of continental options,

The family-owned joint also highlighted their passion for top-notch nosh, crafting a menu from a family love for food and whipping up “mouthwatering memorable moments.”

While some punters moaned about the price tag, others were all for it.

A TripAdvisor reviewer raved: “Quality is always amazing, can’t wait to try the breakfast! “

The eatery boasts a 4.5-star rating on TripAdvisor and when it comes to comparing bills, the owners pointed out that an English breakfast at The Ritz will have you coughing up £56.

“Think about it, if you were to frequent any establishment that serves a certain level of quality, with that content having only one serving of each, you’d soon be breaking the £20 mark.
