Clever males are much less more likely to undergo from erectile dysfunction, research finds
Men with lower intelligence have worse romantic relationships and are more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction, according to new research.
Boffins make superior romantic partners as they have better relationship outcomes and are less abusive to their partners, according to research from Oakland University. In this exploratory study, Dr Gavin Vance and his colleagues looked into how general intelligence affects relationship outcomes.
To assess how good these men were in relationships, the study looked into partner-directed insults, desire for power in intimate relationships, and erectile dysfunction.

Scarily, the results showed that the lower the men’s intelligence, the higher likelihood of erectile dysfunction.
The researchers asked questions such as ‘how often were you able to get an erection during sexual activity?’ to assertain which men suffered with the condition.
Surprisingly, men who were less likely to suffer from erectile dysnfucntion reported higher intelligence levels.
However, the scientists have not explained why this is the case.
In even more good news for the boffins, the results showed that the more intelligent the man, the better their emotional perception, understanding and management skills.
The researchers found that men who scored higher on the intelligence test were less likely to have ever insulted their partner and reporter lower rates of controlling behaviour.
Whereas, men with lower general intelligence scores are more prone to insulting their partners, secual coercion and controlling behaviour.
Most worrying of all, the research showed that men ranking lower on the general intelligence tests were more likely to have psychopathic traits.
The study tested the mens intelligence using the International Cognitive Ability Resource, where the participants tooks tests such as the Letter and Number Series and Matrix Reasoning.
