Ruben Amorim units Man Utd timeline with ‘clarification’ coming after Sporting’s subsequent sport

Ruben Amorim has admitted there will be clarification on his future very soon.

Speaking to the media ahead of Sporting Lisbon’s clash with Estrela da Amadora, Amorim admitted his future will be decided after the match. The 39-year-old said: “It’s a negotiation between two clubs; it’s never easy.

“Even with the clauses, it’s never easy, they have to talk. And we will have clarification after the game, it will be very clear. So it’s one more game, after the game tomorrow we will have the decision made.”

As Amorim looked to leave the press conference, he was asked what he likes about the Premier League, to which he simply replied: “Everything.” United seem to be confident the deal is done too, with Sir Dave Brailsford telling fans it’s done after their Carabao Cup win with Leicester.

Amorim will take over the hot seat from Erik ten Hag – who was sacked after a 2-1 defeat against West Ham over the weekend.

According to The Athletic, Amorim will be in the dugout for the Red Devils when they face Ipswich on November 24 – with Sporting insisting that he remain in place for their next three games, including a clash against Manchester City in the Champions League next week.

Conversations over a deal to allow his coaching team to leave are still ongoing with Emanuel Ferro, Adelio Candido, and Carlos Fernandes all earmarked.

Sporting are currently top of the pile in Portugal – winning all nine of their games so far from this season. Amorim’s side have also only conceded twice, finding the net 30 times – mainly thanks to their Swedish superstar Viktor Gyokeres.

Porto are three points adrift, while Benfica are a further two points behind.
