Boy, 14, is charged with tried homicide after 13-year-old woman is repeatedly stabbed and left preventing for her life – with 5 different youngsters arrested by cops now launched on bail
A teenage boy has been charged with attempted murder after a 13-year-old girl was stabbed at around 6.50am on Friday 1 November.
The 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Monday 4 November.
In addition to a charge of attempted murder, the teen has also been charged with the possession of a bladed article.
Humberside Police were called to the scene on the roadside of the A63 outside Hessle, Yorkshire, in the early hours of Friday morning after passing drivers noticed the injured teen.
Emergency services attended the scene, discovering the girl, 13-years-old, had sustained serious lacerations to her neck, abdomen, chest and back.
She was subsequently taken to hospital to receive medical treatment were she now remains in a serious but stable condition.
An area search was conducted and six teenagers were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in a wooded area nearby in connection with the incident.
Three teenage boys aged 15, 16 and 17-years-old, and two girls, 14 and 15-years-old have since been released from custody on police bail.
