Janet continued: ‘I came round after hospital and was doolally on drugs and the surgeon was there said it was fine, two hours after that it was pain.

‘I went to the loo and I was like I can’t get there, you lose all dignity and have to keep moving.

‘I did loads of rehabilitation for a week, I did half an hour in a hydrotherapy pool walking. I struggled to sleep because of lying on your back. I had brain fog I read the paper and forgot what I read, that I really didn’t like.

‘I did intense therapy in the afternoon after the pool in the morning. When I do go up and down stairs its not even 5 weeks I have a stick in case I’m in the top 5% but I don’t want to trip.

‘The one thing I have discovered is a raised toilet seat it is life changing experience.

‘I was in a lot of pain and hunched before. With pain you work through it and by the time I had the surgery it was bad.

‘The surgeon said my spine was out by 2 inches and I was lopsided and I’m now standing straighter.’

Janet’s return comes after she shared a health update from rehab as she worked on her recovery last month.
