Nigel Farage calls the election for Trump as he hitches a trip to Palm Beach election get together and says liberal meltdown at obvious US election victory ‘speaks for itself’

Nigel Farage has called the presidential race for Donald Trump, declaring ‘it’s over, it’s done’ as he headed to the Palm Beach election party where the Republican nominee is due to deliver an address to his supporters.

Gesturing at Trump’s motorcade as it pulled into the convention centre near his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Farage said that while Trump will address GOP faithful, ‘Kamala Harris, we’ve heard, is not even going to speak tonight.’

It comes after the Reform UK MP said that the ‘meltdown’ in response to Trump pulling ahead in the presidential race ‘speaks for itself’.

Even before big wins began coming in for the former president, Farage confidentally declared on X last night that ‘Donald Trump is going to win’.

The long-term political ally and friend of Trump was in attendance at the Mar-a-Lago watch party along with Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson, describing the atmosphere at the event as ‘joyous’.

The presidential hopeful praised the Brexiteer as ‘a little bit of a rebel’ after he spotted him at the event in Reading, Pennsylvania

Speaking to GB News, he added that team Trump were ‘very confident, perhaps more confident than they were in 2016.’

He added that he was ‘absolutely certain’ of a Trump win. ‘You know what? You can listen to the polls if you want, but I don’t believe them.’

Farage has been loyally supporting his ‘friend’ throughout the campaign, and last night got a shout-out from the presidential hopeful.

‘This is the most incredible political comeback in any of our lifetimes. He was down and out in 2020,’ Farage said last night.

‘He has been through the courts, he’s been through goodness knows what and here he is, just a few hours away from becoming the 47th president of the USA.

‘A truly extraordinary, remarkable human performance.’

He declared Farage, one of five Reform MPs in the House of Commons, as ‘the big winner of the last election in the UK’, adding: ‘He’s shaking it up pretty good.’

As the Republican candidate addressed him, Farage stood up and waved a turquoise-coloured ‘Make America Great Again’ hat to the rest of the audience.

Trump had gushed about Farage as he said ‘he’s always been my friend for some reason’.

He told a crowd at the Santander Arena: ‘We have a man from Europe. I don’t know if he’s here, I saw him backstage.

‘What he is doing is sort of what we did a few years ago. He’s doing a great job.

‘He’s always been my friend for some reason. He liked me, I like him. He’s shaking it up over there. He was the big winner of the last election in the UK.

‘He’s a spectacular man, very well respected. Nigel Farage. He’s a little bit of a rebel but that’s good. Don’t change Nigel.’

The sitting MP has received backlash from many in Westminster, who have questioned why he is 3,500 miles away from the Commons – and his Clacton constituency – while Parliament is sitting.

Farage has previously said he was in the US as part of his role with GB News and would be following Trump around the country ‘as much as we can’.
