Supercomputer guidelines on 4 UK targets Putin would launch nukes on – is your metropolis listed
The four top targets for a Russian nuclear strike on the UK have been revealed. Earlier today is was revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was very close to launching nuclear missiles at Ukraine, according to failed Prime Minister Liz Truss writing in an updated version of her book Out of the Blue.
She claimed that her final days in charge of the UK were spent dealing with “numerous hours studying satellite weather data and wind directions” for fear of having to cope with nuclear fallout heading towards the UK. A report in The Sun states that “wrong weather patterns” could have seen a “direct fall-out effect on Britain” in October 2022. That same month, then-Defence Secretary Ben Wallace had been in the United States meeting with American officials to discuss the same issue.
And that got the Daily Star thinking about what would happen if the nuclear missiles were directed towards the UK – not Ukraine.
After all, it could happen . . .
We asked Google’s artificial intelligence-powered large language model Gemini to find out, and it pinpointed four locations Putin could look to target.
-
Barrow-in-Furness: Home to the Royal Navy’s submarine shipyard.
-
Rosyth: A shipyard near Edinburgh.
-
Hull: A city with significant industrial and military importance.
- London: The capital city, a major financial and political centre.
Gemini claimed: “It’s crucial to remember that these are potential targets based on leaked information and do not guarantee a specific attack plan. The actual targets could vary depending on the circumstances and objectives of a potential attack.
The likely targets of a Russian nuclear attack on the UK would be strategic military and infrastructure sites. These could include military bases, nuclear facilities, infrastructure and government centres.
“The consequences of a Russian nuclear attack on the UK would be catastrophic and far-reaching. The targeted areas would experience massive destruction, with widespread fires, radiation, and shockwaves. The number of casualties would be immense, and the long-term health effects from radiation exposure would be severe.
“The nuclear fallout would contaminate the environment, making large areas uninhabitable for decades. This would have long-lasting effects on the ecosystem and food production.”
And to brighten the mood, Gemini added that the consequences would be catastrophic and the recovery process would be “long and arduous”.
Brilliant, cheers Vlad.
