Blonde ‘Chip Shop Diva’ reveals 19 gadgets she needs after followers beg to spoil her

A worker in a fish and chip shop had her life plunged into a completely different direction after she gained internet stardom while working.

Destiny Harolld started working at Merchants Fish and Chip shop when she was just 16-years-old, now at 20 she has reached a new level of fame and recognition – all from behind the counter of her workplace. The blonde has been nicknamed the ‘Chip Shop Diva’ and gained popularity after she featured in a series of TikTok videos.

In them, she is asked by her co-worker Mitch for several meals from the extensive menu, which she then serves and bags up for him. Their mini haddock meal gained particular popularity with salt and vinegar, no less.

Destiny’s popularity seems to be growing each day, with her TikTok account having just shy of 159,000 followers. Merchants on the other hand have bagged themselves almost 250,000.

But while the owner, Antony Akathiotis, has done his best to protect her from dangers online, Destiny looks to be expanding her online career. He told Worcester news: “Social media can be a scary business. It does worry me, and we want to make sure we are protecting Destiny.

“But she’s loving it and she’s doing really well for herself off the back of it.” Destiny has grown her social media following, and has even been on Lives where fans can tune in to hear her thoughts and opinions.

Most recently, Destiny has introduced an Amazon Wishlist to her account, where adoring fans can send her a gift in appreciation. In her listing, Destiny wrote: “Thank you for all the support, this has all been so overwhelming With that I’ve had hundreds of messages asking about an Amazon wish list, so here it is for you guys.”

The listing includes several items, mostly beauty and hair products, that Destiny has her eye on. Some listings include a Colour Wow anti-frizzing spray totalling £22 and claw clips.

Of the 19 items available, it is not clear how many have been sent to Destiny. Elsewhere on her profile, she also provides a Paypal link for donations.

It’s clear the star is not short for praise for her social media work, with viewers leaving several adoring comments. One wrote: “We made the right person famous,” while another added: “Absolute diva,” with a purple heart emoji.

Destiny might be making her debut in the influencer world, which is becoming more popular with youngsters across the UK. According to Kolsquare, “On average, a mid-tier influencer in the UK with 50,000 to 100,000 followers can earn between £100 to £1,000 per post, while top-tier influencers with millions of followers can command thousands of pounds per post.”

Last year, 57% of Gen Zers said they would like to become an influencer if given the chance, according to a new report from Morning Consul.
