Meghan Markle’s sister left in tears as she breaks silence on Royal rifts after tragedy

Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister has spoken out in despair, expressing shock at how the Duchess has previously “mocked” the Royal family.

Samantha Markle, 60 feels increasingly distant from Meghan, blaming her sister’s marriage to Prince Harry for putting a strain on their family ties, including those with Samantha’s late mother Roslyn, who passed away in early October.

In an emotional statement since her mother’s passing, Samantha held back tears as she said: “Meghan has no idea what she is missing out on because when my dad (Thomas) goes, it will be too late. Believe me, I know. You can’t get back that time. It leaves a hole in your heart.”

She continued, “I don’t know the Royal family. I’m just a human, watching from across the pond, but I couldn’t believe it… My dad doesn’t want Meghan to pay him back. But you want love from them because there is a pain in your heart if it isn’t there. I didn’t want my mom to die feeling she was alone, and not loved. I almost left it too late. They could both learn from me.”

The engagement of Meghan to Harry brought global scrutiny to the Markle family and its alleged dysfunction. Now, with the family seemingly more fragmented than ever, Samantha fears for their father Thomas, 80, who has suffered two heart attacks and a stroke in recent years, worrying that his time may be running short.

Samantha Markle has laid bare her pain over Meghan’s past comments that Prince Harry’s family was the big family she “never had”. Despite this, Meghan left Royal duties behind in 2020 and moved to the US with Harry, reports the Mirror.

Since then, she’s given some pretty harsh interviews about the Royal Family and even reenacted a curtsey to the Queen in their bombshell Netflix series.

Samantha, who has three kids herself, told the Daily Mail: “I never thought I would see Meghan do what she has done to the Royal Family. She’s done what she did to her own family to so many other people, too. I knew my dad had suffered, but I thought she would stop at the Queen.”

In the same breath, she accused Harry of letting Meghan “mock” the late monarch.

But it wasn’t always rocky; Meghan reportedly had a close bond with Samantha growing up. Samantha came into the picture two years after Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland, now 68, married their father Thomas.

Now, Samantha is urging Meghan to reach out to their dad, though she’s not holding her breath for a happy reunion.

“If you accept an olive branch, you are asking to be hurt again. I think that would be weird. It would be hard to trust that she was doing it for the right reasons. I think what makes me sad now is there were so many missed opportunities for love and real family.”
