Meghan Markle breaks silence as ‘work separation’ from Prince Harry unravels
Meghan Markle has responded to rumours suggesting a rift has formed in her working relationship with husband Prince Harry.
The Duchess, 43, and the Duke, 40, have been hitting events solo recently, sparking whispers they’re at a “crossroads” in their professional lives.
Meghan previously compared her and Harry’s bond to “salt and pepper”, inseparable on the dinner table. But just weeks ago, it looked like this dynamic duo might be shaking things up, each chasing their own goals.

Yet, Meghan’s latest statement, after she rocked up at an event for the Southern California Welcome Project, backed by their Archewell Foundation, tells a different tale. She gushed: “This initiative, led by the partner organisation Mina’s List, has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the U.S. from Afghanistan.”
She added: “The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience. The Duchess expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences, underscoring her excitement for future gatherings that continue to strengthen these connections.”
“The dinner was hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, where the participants were gifted with new cookware for the upcoming holiday season. The Archewell Foundation remains committed to uplifting women and fostering community through shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of unity and support during challenging times.”, reports the Mirror.
Meghan Markle, known for her love of Thanksgiving, has revealed that she and Prince Harry keep their celebrations “pretty low-key”. Speaking to Marie Claire magazine, she said: “being close to my mom is great”, hinting that Doria will also be joining them for the holiday.
Meghan also disclosed that one year they had a surprise guest – feminist activist Gloria Steinem. She added: “I was thinking about, in the past few years of having Thanksgiving here, like many of us, I think you always make sure there’s room at the table for your friends who don’t have family, which is really key.”
Last week, Harry, who renounced his Royal duties in January 2020 and no longer uses the title His Royal Highness, attended several Invictus Games events in Vancouver, Canada.
However, the couple presented a united front as they came together to honour those who served both the US and UK on Veteran’s Day earlier this month.
Meghan and Harry are scheduled to step into the spotlight in February 2025 for the Invictus Games in Canada. The Duchess has previously dropped hints that their rarely-seen children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, might make a public appearance.
