Championship facet sack supervisor after simply 18 video games following newest defeat
Championship side Hull City have sacked their manager Tim Walter after a poor run of form hit a new low on with a defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.
A statement on the club’s website read: “Hull City can confirm we have parted company with head coach Tim Walter with immediate effect.
“Assistant head coaches Julian Hübner and Filip Tapalović have also left the club. First-team coach Andy Dawson will take interim charge while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a permanent successor.

Wednesday’s 2-0 win was pretty comfortable with the home crowd silenced by a Josh Windass penalty and a goal from Michael Smith. Walter only joined the East Yorkshire outfit in the summer as a replacement to the outgoing Liam Rosenior and was tipped to continue their success from last season.

The 49-year-old formerly managed German giants Hamburg but was sacked in earlier this year after losing out on promotion in his first two seasons at the club.
Tuesday night’s game was the second time the Owls have claimed victory over the Tigers this season, meaning they have won more games at the MKM that Hull since the campaign began.
Questions will now be asked of owner Acun Ilicali who took the bold decision to change managers just a few months ago despite Hull narrowly missing out on a play-off spot last season.
The Tigers currently sit 22nd occupying the final relegation place and have a huge battle on their hands. Walter’s successor will be expected to secure a comfortable finish with former Coventry City boss Mark Robins the early favourite.
Hull face a huge game against Middlesborough at the weekend and it’s likely they’ll hope to have a permanent successor installed by their home clash with Blackburn on December 7.
