Pals go on Monopoly-themed pub crawl consuming at 26 boozers for each sq. on the board
Three lads spent their Monday completing a 10–hour long Monopoly themed pub crawl. The three of them glugged booze at 26 boozers for every square of the board.
Jimmy Quinn, 42, and his two friends from work, Peter Goodman, 54 and Reiss Bathroom, 29, embarked on the crawl earlier this month, each of them aimed to drink a half pint each at every pub and spent around £120, including travel.
Despite all of the men working at a West End theatre and being familiar navigating the city, the 26 stop pub crawl still required a lot of planning.

Jimmy, one of the masterminds behind the pub crawl said, “The big issue is the time, you have to be at the first pub at 11am, when it opens, because you only have until 11pm to complete it and with all the travel involved it takes that amount of time.”
The trio started their journey at the Lord Nelson on Old Kent Road and finished at the Flying Horse on Oxford Street.
Jimmy said, “You can’t spend any more than 16 minutes in each pub or you won’t do it. It’s a lot of dedication. I believed in us and I was confident.
“The prices varied a lot. The most expensive wasn’t Mayfair funnily enough! It was Piccadilly.”
The trio documented their adventure on Jimmy’s Facebook page and have received a lot of attention online by fellow pub lovers. The post amassed over 3,700 reactions and 950 comments and inspired ambitious pub goers to recreate their Monopoly pub crawl.
Jimmy said, “It did shock me. I didn’t expect that much traffic on it.
“I’m not sure the pubs will be happy I have sent so many people to them. But maybe they will.”
With their Monopoly pub crawl being such a massive success the trio are hoping to arrange a circle line pub crawl in the future – where you do one pub stop for each stop of the tube.
